11.6 Kms of National Oil Seed Project Launched in Mbale District

The government of Uganda through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Local Government has commercialized communties through road network, the National Oil seeds Project (NOSP) is funded with a loan by the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) and the Opec Fund for International Development (IFID).
Mbale district recieved the IFAD laon amounting to 1.8 billion shillings to enable access for oil seed farmers into market from Bungokho-Bumbobi sub counties.

During the Launch, the district engineer, Nasimolo Robert expressed gratitude to IFAD for  including Mbale district in the region and the two sub counties in particular.
Nasimolo pointed out that the justifying purpose of funds is to fully open the road, road shaping, culvert installation, and application of first-class murram, among other works.

Bungokho-Bumbobi road, which spans 11.6 kilometers from Lukii village off lwakhakha road through buwalula, nabumalu road, ends at busano road in busambe village and buwaula namatsale road in nakawunyaki villae. The project  is estimated to take 8 months before completion and the key beneficiaries of this funding from the government's Oil Seed Project in the Mbale district are the two sub counties.
Mafabi Chris, the bungokho sub county chairperson warned of anomalies in launch criteria and guided on launch preceedings so to avoid contractor's inappropriate behaviour in future.
Mafabi on moral degree, lebaled zero and good adherance and not to demean or break marriage due to thier presence nor consume fuel ending the project prematurely.
His call was direct to the site engineer and team on grounds  of restoring public trust and corporation till project completion is achieved.

However, Lutwama Herbert, the project contractor from Continam Works Limited, assured the stakeholders of qualitiness inline with specifications on the design layout. His assurance had seen the taste of CAO Mbale Lokuda, he asserted
Mabonga Siraji, a resident of bunamashele village where the road passes, said the support for the NRM government towards household economic transformation is madatory with their fully support.

The district together with IFAD continue to create“inclusive rural transformation through sustainable development of the oilseeds sector”.

 Commercialization is realized for sustainable development, as environmental  conservation remains a key objective to planting trees and restoring borrow pits along 
CAO Mbale, Luke LL. Lokuda in his brief remarks, said that the road was technically designed to fit in those communities, realizing value for the out put after farm produce, this brings in transformation after market is connected with such infrastructure.
CAO Lokuda  added that the IFAD loan should do its purpose, he appealed to the contractor to put in mind the heavy remains, and carry out those assesements so that certified works prevail.
The district chairperson, Mafabi Muhammad during the launch, reminded the beneficiaries that this is a projection of the past regime where he had tabled the need for such developments, his assurance to voters was to continue supporting government programs.
"Today, the road is here and because the district leadership believes in technical joint ideology to quality services to wanachi". He said

The office of president was represented by the assistant resident commmissioner, Manana Henry, in his remarks, highlight the importance of power and trust from the wanachi recalling the farmers to participate closely in agro activities meant for commercialization for rural transformation.
Manana reminded the contractor to avail a BOQ to thier office so that better assesement and monitoring can be meaningful and followed.
The launched was witnessed by all the stakeholders at play to enuring the project derives the agitated value to people of Bungokho and Bumbobi sub counties.
