Training on skin cancer prevention for persons with albinism in Sebei and Bugisu region
cluster of health workers from facilities working closely with albinos on suncare services had a training on skin cancer prevention for persons with albinism. The trainees included Medical doctors, clinical officers, district health educators, nurses and VHTs in Sebei and Bugisu bugisu region. Over 400 people living with albinism in the nine districts of Sebei and Bugisu region are vulnerable and exposed to sun damage on their skins. One of the core objectives is to empower and build the capacity to health workers on skin cancer preventive techniques on persons with albinism, and to conduct preventive quarterly clinics in their health centers.
